Two menus

One kitchen, two services. From noon the brasserie sends out shellfish on ice, pasta from the pass and the fish that came in at dawn. From five the bar takes the terrace: spritz, vermouth and small plates until the last glass.

Lunch thatruns intothe evening

Ombrelle began as six tables and two parasols on Linden Square. The parasols are bigger now and the kitchen is open to the room, but the habit stayed: people come for lunch, order another coffee and are still here when the lamps go on.

Noon to midnight

The house changes five times a day. The card, the light and the music follow the clock; the tables stay where they are.

  1. 12:00–15:00

    Lunch

The full brasserie card. Shellfish on ice, a pasta from the pass, the fish of the day with whatever the market sent.

A white plate of mussels with grilled bread and a slice of lemon
  2. 15:00–17:00

    Coffee hour

Espresso, a slice of lemon tart, the terrace in half shade. The kitchen rests; the coffee keeps going.

Two espresso cups on red and yellow saucers and a small plate of biscuits on a pale wooden table
  3. 17:00–19:30

    Aperitivo

Spritz, vermouth on ice, olives warmed with orange zest and a plate of fried sardines to share.

A hand holding a red spritz over a marble table in evening sun
  4. 19:30–23:00

    Dinner

The card again, now by candlelight. Book ahead for the terrace on warm nights.

  5. 23:00–00:00

    Last glass

The kitchen closes and the bar keeps a short card of cheese, anchovy toast and something to finish the night.

The brasserie card

Served 12:00–15:00 and 19:30–23:00. Prices in euros, service included. Ask us about allergens; the kitchen can change most plates.
