Eleven keys for the whole house.

Tactile home controls

A palm-sized slab of soft keys for the lights, the music, the blinds and the heat. No screen to wake, no app to open. Press, and the room answers.

Ships in March. Joins the hub your home already has.

Up is ready. Down is on.

Every Hushkey key has two positions you can feel in the dark. Raised waits for you; pressed is running. Your thumb reads the panel before your eyes do — try the keys.

A pressed key stays down until a second press lifts it. All off lifts everything at once.

One pad. Four moods of the house.

Each direction on the pad holds a whole room at once — light, sound, blinds and heat. Press it and the house turns toward you; hold OK to save the room as it is now.

Hold OK for two seconds to save a mode.

  1. Morning light coming through sheer curtains into a dim bedroom
    Up

    Morning

Blinds rise a third, the kitchen warms up, the radio comes on low.

  2. A grey desk lamp and a cup on a white desk in low sunlight
    Right

    Desk

Cool light on the table, the music steps aside, the hall stays dark.

  3. A corduroy sofa beside a floor lamp in warm evening light
    Down

    Evening

Lamps at a third, blinds closed, warmth gathered in the sofa corner.

  4. An open white door casting a long shadow across a pale wooden floor
    Left

    Away

Everything off but the porch, which wakes at dusk and sleeps at midnight.

Hold plus. The light arrives slowly.

Keep a thumb on plus and the room brightens as gently as you like — a short hold for a nudge, a long one for a sunrise. Minus does the same in reverse, down to a glow.

A living room with a sofa, a reading chair and a lamp in warm evening light
  • Tap

One step brighter or darker, the way a dimmer should feel.

  • Hold

The longer you hold, the slower the fade: two seconds become a whole minute.

  • Double minus

Leaves a low night glow in the hall instead of darkness.

No screen to wake.

No glow at night.

No app to open first.

Hushkey keeps every decision in your fingers. The panel has no display, no standby light and no menu: the keys themselves are the interface, and they stay exactly where you left them.

Press two at once. Get a third.

Hold two keys together and Hushkey remembers them as a chord. The panel never grows; it simply learns more words, and your hand learns them with it.

Lamp + Lock = Goodnight

  • Goodnight

Lamp + Lock — Lights down to a glow, doors locked, heat set for the night.

  • Cinema

Music + Blinds — Blinds shut, lamps low, the speaker turns up by two steps.

  • Sunday

Heat + Kettle — Warm floors and the kettle on at nine, with no alarm at all.

Made to be found in the dark.

Three materials, each chosen for how it feels under a thumb at two in the morning, when the panel is found by touch alone.

  • Cap
Soft grey material folded into deep rippling ridges

    Soft-touch caps

Each cap gives a little before it clicks, so a press is never a surprise and a raised key is never mistaken for a pressed one.

  • Back
A close fold of grey woven textile

    Woven back

A felted back holds to plaster, tile and glass without a mark, and lifts away when the room changes.

  • Body
    Fine grey speckled mineral surface

    Mineral body

The slab is cast with stone dust: heavy enough to stay put on a table, cool to the touch, quiet when set down.

Two finishes. The same eleven keys.

Chalk disappears into pale walls. Graphite settles into dark wood and slate. Both ship with the woven back, a charging cable and a battery that lasts about two years.

  • Chalk

For pale plaster, white tile and rooms that get the morning.

    €189

    Pre-order Chalk
  • Graphite

For dark wood, slate and the rooms you mostly use at night.

    €189

    Pre-order Graphite

Any two panels for €340. Charged only when your panel leaves the studio; thirty days to send it back.

Before you press order.

Short answers to what people ask the studio most. Anything else, ask a person below.

Does Hushkey need its own hub?

No. It joins the hub your home already has over the open smart-home standards, and it keeps working on its own when the internet drops.

How long does the battery last?

About two years of everyday pressing. It charges over USB-C in an afternoon, and the keys keep their positions while it does.

Can I change what each key does?

Yes, once, on a setup page on your phone. After that the panel works without the app — that is rather the point.

How do chords work?

Hold any two keys for a second and Hushkey saves what the room is doing as a chord. Press the same pair again and the room returns to it.

How does it mount?

The woven back holds to smooth walls, glass and tile. Lift from the bottom edge to move it: no screws, no marks, no adhesive.

When does it ship?

The first Chalk and Graphite panels ship in March. Pre-orders are charged only when your panel leaves the studio.

Ask someone who has pressed every key.
