SeoulNight Shift

One hall, four heats

Pier Arena opens wall to wall. Four zones run side by side all day, so you can leave the concert queue for tteokbokki and still make the chorus.

  1. Main stage

    12:00 – 23:00

The headliners at night, the cover stage by day. A standing floor for 6,000, a raised deck at the back for anyone who would rather see than be seen.

  2. Battle floor

    14:30 – 18:30

A sprung dance floor ringed by bleachers. Open workshops in the morning, the crew battle from 14:30, random play dance for everyone at six.

  3. Beauty lab

    12:30 – 20:00

Twelve chairs, Korean skincare brands and makeup artists working on the looks from this year's videos. Walk in or book a slot at the gate.

  4. Food street

    12:00 – 23:30

Twenty stalls along the river wall: tteokbokki, corn dogs, hotteok, fried chicken and bingsu, plus a tea bar that stays quiet when the hall does not.

Idol looks

The beauty lab runs three looks on repeat, twenty minutes each, with every product on the counter to try and take home.

  1. Close-up of a pale face with clear, dewy skin, grey eyes and a glossy coral-red lip
    12:30 · 16:00

    Glass skin

Skin so clear it reflects the stage lights. Thin layers, no powder, one bright lip.

    • Essence pressed in three thin coats
    • Cushion only where the light hits
    • Lip tint blotted to a stain
  2. Portrait of a woman with brown eyes and a matte red lip, her chin on her hand, in a white jacket
    13:30 · 17:00

    Stage red

The look of the concert hour: a matte red mouth, soft brown eyes and nothing that smudges in a jump.

    • Long-wear base set with a mist
    • Brown shadow pulled to the temple
    • Matte red, lined then filled
  3. A woman in red light, eyes closed, her hair swinging across her shoulder
    14:30 · 18:30

    After dark

For the fan photo wall at nine: glossed lids, a darker lip and hair set to move.

    • Clear gloss over a wine lid
    • Berry lip with a blurred edge
    • Texture spray, then shake it out

Food street

Twenty stalls along the river wall, cards and phones only. Everything on the board costs less than a lightstick.
