Accounts, kept plainly.

Bookkeeping, tax returns and payroll for Bristol's small businesses. One fixed monthly fee, one accountant who knows your name.

Tax year 26/27

Last year you did the books at midnight. This year you get one page on the 10th of every month, whether you cut hair, bake bread or wire houses.

  • Fixed fee

Agreed before we start and never billed by the hour, however many questions you ask.

  • One accountant

The same person answers every call and email, and knows what your business did last spring.

  • One page

Profit, cash, tax set aside and the next deadline, in plain English, by the 10th.

See how the one page works

Your month, on one page.

On the 10th of every month your accountant sends one page about the month before. No dashboard to learn and no jargon: what came in, what went out, what to put aside and what happens next.

  1. Profit, not turnover

What the business actually made after costs, set against the same month last year, with one line on why it moved.

  2. Cash you can see coming

Twelve months of bank balance as one row of bars, so a quiet February is a plan, not a surprise.

  3. Tax already set aside

The exact amount to move into a separate pot this month. January stops being the frightening one.

  4. What happens next

The coming deadlines, who files them and when. The answer is usually: we do, a week early.

Switching takes one phone call.

Most of our clients came from another accountant, or from a shoebox. Either is fine. This is the whole process.

  1. 1

    Send us what you have

A software login, a folder of statements or a photo of the shoebox. We sort it.

  2. 2

    We call your old accountant

Professional clearance, last year's figures and the HMRC authorisations are our job, not yours.

  3. 3

    Your first page arrives

Usually within two weeks, with anything that was missed before you came to us.

Questions people ask before they switch.

Anything else, ask on the free call. There is no such thing as a silly tax question, only expensive ones left unasked.

Do I need an accountant as a sole trader?

Not by law. But from April 2026 sole traders earning over £50,000 send HMRC quarterly updates under Making Tax Digital, and most would rather not. We keep the records and send the updates for you.

What does the fixed fee include?

Everything on your plan, including calls, emails and letters from HMRC. If you need something outside it, such as a mortgage reference or a company restructure, we quote first and you decide.

Which software do you use?

Xero for most clients and FreeAgent for some sole traders. If you already use QuickBooks we work in it. You never have to learn any of them.

Can you sort out last year's late return?

Yes. We file late returns, appeal penalties where there is a reasonable excuse and set up a payment plan with HMRC if you need one.

Can we meet in person?

Our office is on Tally Wharf by the harbour and the kettle is usually on. Most monthly chats happen by phone or video, whichever you prefer.

How easy is it to leave?

One month's notice and no exit fee. We hand everything to your next accountant the way we would want it handed to us.

Fixed monthly fees. The height of each block is its price.

No hourly billing and no year-end invoice. Prices exclude VAT; payroll is £6 per employee a month on any plan.
